This role is essential in delivering smooth, efficient, and compassionate patient care by assisting healthcare providers with clinical duties within the scope of medical assistant practice.

Job Summary

As a vital member of the clinic team, you will perform patient care tasks, facilitate patient flow, assist with treatments and procedures, and maintain accurate documentation. You will also administer immunizations under provider supervision and ensure compliance with clinic policies and infection control standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform patient care duties and carry out provider orders promptly and accurately.
• Assist with treatments and procedures, ensuring proper consent and preparation.
• Notify patients of test results as directed by providers.
• Document patient complaints, vital signs, and exam preparations.
• Administer immunizations within scope and maintain accurate records.
• Manage exam room supplies, medication samples, and maintain cleanliness.
• Coordinate referrals and communicate effectively with referral coordinators.
• Support a positive work environment by fostering teamwork and trust.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited certified medical assistant program.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current Medical Assistant Certification and Licensure as required by the state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.

Skills and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of medical assistant duties and patient care techniques.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, exercise independent judgment, and work collaboratively.

Work Environment

This full-time position involves an 8-hour shift schedule, with duties including rooming patients for Sleep Medicine early in the week and floating to other specialties later in the week.
