Green & Cohen PC is seeking a skilled Real Estate/Landlord & Tenant Attorney to join our dynamic legal team in New York, NY. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse caseload in one of the most active real estate markets in the world. If you're passionate about real estate law and ready to make an impact, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities:
- Represent landlords and/or tenants in Housing Court proceedings, including eviction and non-payment cases
- Draft, review, and negotiate leases, purchase agreements, and other real estate contracts
- Handle residential and commercial real estate transactions from contract to closing
- Advise clients on landlord-tenant disputes, rent stabilization, and rent control matters
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, motions, and pleadings
- Manage a caseload independently while maintaining clear client communication
- Stay current on New York real estate law, housing regulations, and court procedures
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active New York State Bar admission in good standing
- 1–5 years of experience in real estate law, landlord-tenant law, or related practice area
- Familiarity with New York City Housing Court procedures and practices
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and litigation skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
