Location

New York, NY — On-site. This is a fully in-office opportunity.

Note:

Must have an active New York Bar license, 4+ years of commercial litigation experience, and 2+ years of commercial landlord-tenant litigation experience.

Job Description

• Represent clients in sophisticated commercial litigation matters involving real estate and capital markets.
• Handle commercial landlord-tenant disputes, including preparation and service of predicate notices and court pleadings.
• Manage commercial foreclosure litigation and develop knowledge of real estate foreclosure practice.
• Take an active role in motion practice, discovery, e-discovery, and courtroom proceedings.
• Research complex legal issues and draft persuasive motions, briefs, pleadings, and other litigation documents.
• Apply proper New York citation formatting and maintain a high standard of legal writing.
• Work independently on assigned matters while collaborating closely with attorneys and legal professionals across the team.
• Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced practice while maintaining strong attention to detail and organization.

Qualifications

• Active New York Bar license.
• 4+ years of directly relevant commercial litigation experience.
• 2+ years of commercial landlord-tenant litigation experience.
• Experience with motion practice, discovery, e-discovery, and courtroom proceedings.
• Experience preparing and serving predicate notices and drafting court pleadings.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Commercial foreclosure litigation experience is preferred; willingness to learn is acceptable.
• Large regional, national, or international law firm experience preferred.
• Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
