Job Description Performs a variety of food and guest service duties under general supervision. This position includes the following roles, which will vary by facility need: patient meal tray assembly and delivery, cashier, food assembly, food serving, and cleaning. Café Stations to Train Barista Station: Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages with precision and care. Salad/Deli Station: Create fresh and delicious salads and deli items, ensuring high-quality presentation. Pizza and Pasta Station: Craft mouth‑watering pizzas and pasta dishes, maintaining consistency and taste. Grill Station: Cook and serve grilled items to perfection, adhering to safety and hygiene standards. Entrée Serving: Plate and serve main courses with attention to detail and customer preferences. Action Station: Engage with customers while preparing made‑to‑order dishes, showcasing your culinary skills. Cashiering: Handle transactions efficiently and accurately, providing excellent customer service. Position Details PRN, on call or as needed Pay Rate: $17.25 - $22.43 (based on experience) Availability needed: Sunday–Saturday 4 am‑2:30 am for 8‑hour and 10‑hour shifts Shift needing coverage most often: Sunday & Monday 4 pm‑2:30 am Dynamic team with opportunities to cross‑train and support other kitchen areas for more exciting shifts! Benefits Eligible: No Job Essentials Deliver and present meal trays to patients following standard procedures. Prepare food items according to established recipes and standards, including beverages, deli items, pizza items, and hot items. Understand and prepare modified diets using appropriate techniques. Follow Nutrition Services and food safety standards (including HACCP) to ensure quality, safety, and a positive dining experience. Maintain proper food quantities, stock levels, and product rotation. Keep work areas clean, organized, and sanitary, including cleaning surfaces, floors, and equipment. Stock supplies and retrieve food or materials from storage areas as needed. Perform accurate cash and credit transactions, balance cash drawers, and follow corporate procedures. Provide customer service by knowing menu items, portions, and prices, answering questions, and resolving basic issues independently. Set up and service catered functions according to the requested level of service. Minimum Qualifications Food Handler's Permit (required) One year of cashier, food service or patient experience (preferred) Demonstrated ability to work with modified diets (preferred) Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service (preferred) Physical Requirements Ongoing need to see and read information, labels, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and assess customer needs. Frequent interactions with customers requiring communication and understanding of spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer, phone, and cable set‑up and use. Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transport, pull, and push equipment. Will also work on hands and knees and bend to set‑up, troubleshoot, lift, and carry supplies and equipment, including items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items. Remain standing for long periods of time to perform work. Tolerate extremes in temperature such as performing work at a grill or in a refrigerator and tolerate exposure to cleaning chemicals.
