Position Type: Live-In Caregiver

Schedule: Live-in shifts, based on client needs and agreed-upon schedule

Giving Light Homecare LLC is dedicated to providing compassionate, dependable, and personalized non-medical homecare services. We are seeking a caring and responsible Live-In Personal Care Assistant to help clients maintain their comfort, dignity, safety, and independence in their own homes.

Job Summary

The Live-In PCA will provide personal care and daily living assistance to a client in their home. The ideal candidate is compassionate, patient, dependable, and comfortable providing one-on-one care while respecting the client’s privacy and independence.

Responsibilities

Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene.

Provide assistance with mobility, walking, and safe transfers as trained.

Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed.

Provide companionship and meaningful engagement.

Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a clean environment.

Provide medication reminders as directed, without performing unauthorized medication administration.

Accompany clients to appointments or errands when required and agreed upon.

Observe and report changes in the client’s condition or safety concerns.

Maintain client confidentiality and follow agency policies.

Complete care logs and required documentation.

Qualifications

Previous caregiving or PCA experience preferred.

Must be compassionate, patient, trustworthy, and dependable.

Ability to follow care plans and communicate effectively.

Must meet applicable background screening and employment requirements.

CPR/First Aid certification preferred, if required for the assignment.

Must be able to perform the physical duties of the position safely.

Must be comfortable with a live-in arrangement and the client’s specific care needs.

Live-In Position Expectations

Caregiver must follow the agreed-upon schedule and care plan.

Sleeping arrangements and meal arrangements will be discussed before placement.

Required breaks, uninterrupted sleep time, and off-duty periods must be established in accordance with applicable employment laws.

Caregivers must respect the client’s home, privacy, and personal boundaries.
