Regulatory Psychology Board Member (DC)

Overview The Board shall regulate the practice of psychology, psychology associates, and behavior analysis. Commission Membership The board consists of 6 members: 4 psychologists licensed in the District; 1 behavioral analyst licensed in the District; 1 consumer member. No member shall be appointed to serve more than three full consecutive terms. Qualifications Professional members must have a minimum of three years' experience in practicing one or more of the professions or occupations regulated by the Board. Consumer member(s) shall: be residents of the District at the time of appointment and while serving on the Board; be at least 18 years old; not be engaged in the regulated occupation or in training to become a professional in the field; not have a household member engaged in the regulated occupation or in training to become a professional in the field; not own, operate, or be employed in (or have a household member who owns, operates, or is employed in) a business whose primary purpose is the sale of goods or services to regulated professionals or facilities. Time Commitment The Board meets every other month. Residency Preference Current District of Columbia residents receive priority and advanced preference for screening and interviews.
