Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical/Surgical Tele Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years RN experience License: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state/district Certifications: NIHSS, BLS & ACLS Required Must-Have: 1. Med Tele Acute Care Inpatient Experience - Required: 1 Year 2. 2 Year Cerner experience required 3. Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program 4. BSN - Highly desired 5. Ability to complete a Telemetry rhythm interpretation test prior to start 6. Nurse to patient ratio is 1:5-6. Description: Fulfills the needs of the patients, families, and community by performing a variety of patient care functions and tasks in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements. Delivers care to patients in a competent, capable, caring, and efficient manner. Applies knowledge of growth and development over the life span necessary to provide age-appropriate care. Demonstrates the ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of the patients' needs. Demonstrates an understanding of the range of treatment needed by these patients. Makes initial assessments and determines appropriate nursing needs of assigned patients, as evidenced by appropriate documentation. Performs initial and ongoing assessments on all assigned patients, including a review of systems, as evidenced by appropriate documentation. Completes admission assessments in the time frame established according to policy and procedures.
