Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical/Surgical Tele Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 Years RN Experience, 1 Year Med Tele Acute Care Inpatient Experience, 2 Year Cerner Experience License: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state/district Certifications: NIHSS, BLS, ACLS Required Must-Have: BSN - Highly desired Description: Must live 50 miles away. 3 x 12 hour night shifts required. Telemetry rhythm interpretation test must be completed prior to start. The nurse to patient ratio is 1:5-6. There are 16 patients on the unit, so typically two nurses may have 5 patients each and one nurse may have 6. Fulfills the needs of patients, families, and the community by performing a variety of patient care functions and tasks in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements. Delivers care to patients in a competent, capable, caring, and efficient manner. Applies knowledge of growth and development over the lifespan necessary to provide age-appropriate care. Demonstrates the ability to obtain information and interpret it in terms of patients' needs. Demonstrates an understanding of the range of treatment required by patients. Makes initial assessments and determines appropriate nursing needs of assigned patients, as evidenced by appropriate documentation. Performs initial and ongoing assessments on all assigned patients, including a review of systems, as evidenced by appropriate documentation. Completes admission assessments within the established time frame, according to policy and procedures.
