Production Supervisor

Reason for vacancy: Existing Headcount Compensation:$62,000 – $91,000 USD base pay annually plus annual short-term incentive The above compensation reflects the target compensation for the position at the time of posting. The base salary offered may vary based on a variety of factors including skills, experience, education, training, job- related knowledge, and other organizational requirements. For part-time roles, salaries are adjusted according to scheduled hours. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible to participate in Maple Leaf’s annual short-term incentive plan. Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life: Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices following all sanitation and process procedures and guidelines and reference SOP’s where applicable Check timekeeping records daily to ensure accuracy and manages team’s time off requests Communicate expectations with the team regularly and holds them accountable Complies with established food safety standards and partners respectfully with all cross-functional teams (FSQA, Safety, Maintenance, and HR) Ensures adherence to legal and Company policies and procedures and works with Management and HR to undertake disciplinary actions if the need arises Foster positive employee relations by treating all employees with respect, listen to their concerns and provide a timely response where needed Monitor team member productivity and provides constructive feedback and coaching Organize workflow and ensures that team members understand their duties or delegated tasks Operate with a focus on safety first and ensures all employees follow the company’s safety, GMP, SOP policies Produce daily shift reports and achieves a high-level of accuracy with all paperwork and sign-off reports Report any equipment issues to Shift Managers and Maintenance as it occurs Train new employees and set them up for success on day one and provide coaching to employees who require additional training and support What You’ll Bring: 2+ years of experience in food manufacturing in leadership role Associated degree highly desired Knowledge of HACCP and Health and Safety regulations Passionfor coaching people, building teams and improving performance Must be able to bend, squat, and lift up to 50lb Ability to work on your feet for 6-8 hours per day in both cold and warm environments Detail oriented and organized, able to prioritize multiple requests Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage conflict and build teams Experience with tough conversations, counseling employees, and resolving conflicts Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems, experience with SAP preferred What We Offer at Maple Leaf Foods: 401K with company match (available after 6 months) Career development opportunities Company Paid Life, Short and Long-Term Disability Insurance Competitive salary Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Employee Referral Bonus Program Flexible Spending Account Generous paid vacation and sick leave Health Insurance - medical, dental, vision and prescription coverage (available in first 30 days) Temperature controlled environment About Us: We’re a carbon neutral food company on a purposeful journey to Raise the Good in Food through better nutrition, safer food and workplaces, more humane animal care, and environmental sustainability efforts that protect our planet.
