Senior Accounting Specialist

Responsibilities Kforce is partnering with a client in the Saint Louis area to identify an experienced Accounting Specialist. In this role, you will support the month‑end close process, including preparing journal entries and completing account reconciliations for assigned areas. This is a hybrid opportunity offering a collaborative team environment, strong leadership, and excellent growth potential. Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations as part of the month‑end and year‑end close process Assist with financial reporting support, including 10‑Q/10‑K disclosures and management reporting schedules Support budget analysis, audit activities, and reporting related to employee benefit obligations and share‑based compensation Partner with internal teams, auditors, and external stakeholders on analyses, compliance, and special projects Provide additional support to Corporate Accounting and assist with ad hoc responsibilities as needed Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Master’s degree and CPA preferred 5+ years of accounting experience or 3+ years within a large public accounting firm Experience with SEC/public reporting, SOX compliance, and complex accounting environments Proficiency with SAP, Blackline, and Microsoft Office Suite Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to drive process improvements and manage changing priorities Benefits The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
