Ultrasound Technologist

The Ultrasound Technologist performs general, abdominal/OB-Gyn, and vascular ultrasound studies. Responsibilities include performing high-quality ultrasound studies in accordance with policies and procedures. Competently sets up and assists the radiologist. Works with EMRs to generate and complete exam orders. Performs, records, and analyzes QC data to maintain accuracy and precision. Maintains a safe and efficient working environment by performing equipment checks and cleaning the work area. Demonstrates regular attendance and punctuality. Maintains clinical competency and current professional knowledge through in-house education and training. Responsible for contacting service personnel regarding malfunctioning equipment. Transports patients safely and efficiently. Demonstrates knowledge of PACS systems for releasing and transmitting images. Informs appropriate personnel of department supply needs to ensure uninterrupted testing. Collaborates with other departments to improve patient and staff experiences. Recommends process improvements for increased efficiency. Displays and promotes company values. Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements/Working Environment: Sits and stands an average of 7-8 hours per workday. Walks an average of 6-7 hours per workday. Bends/stoops frequently throughout the day. Reaches above shoulder level frequently. Carries up to 50 lbs of weight as needed. Lifts awkward weights of up to 100+ lbs as required. Uses hands for repetitive action and fine dexterity constantly.
