Our comprehensive construction services and end market capabilities are provided to prominent utility companies under four complementary brands: Precision Pipeline Services – a provider of installation, repair, replacement, and maintenance services for utility customers since 1997 Allegheny Contracting – a provider of gas transmission and distribution installation, repair, maintenance, and replacement services since 1997 SabCon Underground – an underground utility and natural gas pipeline contractor established in 2016 JMF Underground – providing directional drilling, underground utility and maintenance solutions since 2015 About the Role The Senior Accountant is responsible for the overall accounting and financial reporting for the company. This includes implementing accounting policies and procedures, reconciling balance sheet accounts, assisting with AR and AP as necessary, posting month-end closing entries based on a schedule, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Also works closely with other members of the management team to provide financial analysis and support for decision-making. This role will be hybrid from our Grandview Heights corporate office. Duties may include, but are not limited to: Essential Functions Verify and record month-end close entries Perform account analysis based on a closing schedule Assist with managing and forecasting cash flow, based on upcoming projects, expenditures, investments, and tax liabilities Conduct weekly/monthly financial project review meetings with respective project management teams Assist with data requests for yearly audit and preparation of tax returns by external CPAs Analyze and manage the process for work in progress (WIP) reporting and closing process Responsible for oversight of the full cycle of accounts receivable and accounts payable as well as assisting in the completion of billing with the project management teams as necessary Perform margin analysis on projects for improved cost management and increased profits Create and analyze financial reports and ad hoc reporting as required Any other financial tasks required by Senior Management or ownership Additional duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications BS, BA, or MBA in Accounting required, CPA preferred 3+ years of construction accounting experience, or 5+ years of other accounting experience Strong understanding of construction industry accounting principles preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proactive, with a sense of urgency when required Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Proficiency in Construction ERP based software preferred Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel #J-18808-Ljbffr Camp.us
