Senior Director, Advertising, Data Monetization

Direct and mentor a team of 9 FTEs, including the Head of Ad Product & Partnerships, Head of Media Sales, Director of Ad Operations & Yield, and their respective teams Own the overarching business strategy for Verizon’s ad products, including premium lock-screen inventory, digital OOH, and owned properties Oversee the development of the GTM strategy and support the Head of Media Sales in securing foundational alpha/beta advertisers with major advertising holding companies and tier-1 brands Guide the Product and Engineering teams in managing critical third-party vendor relationships and building privacy-first ad solutions Ensure the team effectively manages yield, pricing strategies, and inventory flow to maximize revenue without cannibalizing premium core placements Act as the primary liaison between the advertising division and broader Verizon leadership, collaborating heavily with Data Strategy, Legal/Privacy (CPNI), and core telecommunications business units Requirements Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience Master's Degree highly preferred Minimum of 10-12+ years of progressive leadership experience in ad-tech, media sales, digital advertising, or retail media networks Proven experience managing cross-functional leaders and building high-performing teams from the ground up (zero-to-one experience) Deep understanding of the mobile advertising ecosystem, programmatic architecture, data clean rooms, and digital yield management Strong executive presence with a track record of driving multi-million dollar revenue growth and managing enterprise-level vendor relationships Ability to navigate and lead within a complex, highly matrixed corporate environment Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in leading high-performing teams within the ad-tech and digital advertising sectors, with a strong focus on strategy development, revenue growth, and vendor relationship management.
