Pharmacy Practice Residency Program

The person in this position participates in the Pharmacy Practice Residency Program, a 12-month, full-time program that meets the ASHP Accreditation Standard. The resident works with many different members of the department and institution to meet the goals of providing clinical pharmacy services in a variety of settings throughout the institution and completing projects that benefit the institution.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: 1. Graduate of ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy 2. Pharm.D. Degree 3. Strong written and verbal communication skills Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: Employees in this position: Will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose NOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or Shands automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job. Please indicate the appropriate operator designation on the Request for Personnel (RFP) form at the time a RFP is submitted to post the position. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Registered pharmacist in Florida or eligible for same Additional Requirement: 'As a condition of employment within the Pharmacy Services Department of Shands Hospital all employees must be accessible by telephone. This requires each employee to provide a valid telephone number to the department Staff Assistant, in order for the department to reach them in the event of hospital need and/or emergency'.
