Purchasing Coordinator

Pay $26.62–$28.87 hourly. Position Overview The Purchasing Coordinator provides administrative support for commodity purchasers, focusing on streamlining the function of commodity buyers and maintaining communication with yards, vendors, and salespeople. Key Responsibilities Match purchase orders with quantities, destination, and pricing on vendor confirmation. Ensure shipping schedules are met for commodity purchases. Track and follow up on late shipments. Communicate with the field about late shipments. Assist in price updates and corrections in Biztrack. Assist with the transition to Biztrack as a department resource. Proactively communicate with suppliers about product and supply issues to improve the system. Serve as the department point person working with yards on inventory discrepancies. Assist buyers in documenting and following up on product claims. Standardize, organize, and maintain departmental filing systems. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Knowledge of lumber, panels, and related products. Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to operate a personal computer, telephone, scanner, and other necessary equipment. Strong written and oral English communication skills. 1–2 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of experience/training. Knowledge and experience with perpetual inventory systems preferred. Working knowledge of Biztrack software preferred. Physical & Work Conditions Primary working conditions are office with computer. Occasional work in lumberyard, occasional travel to PARR locations in the Northwest. Must be able to sit/stand for extended periods, work indoors, operate a computer and keyboard, lift/push/pull up to 20 pounds and carry objects up to 50 feet, work outdoors in all weather conditions, drive a vehicle when necessary.
