Software Engineer - Full Stack

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We have formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, along with 3+ years of applied experience.
• We bring strong Python experience, including clean architecture, testing, and performance awareness.
• We have solid React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript skills for building functional, maintainable user interfaces.
• We have cloud-native development experience with containers, APIs/microservices, and at least one major cloud platform, preferably AWS.
• We have hands-on experience building with LLMs and agentic AI in production or real deployed work, not just prototypes.
• We have working knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL/Aurora, including schema design and query patterns.
• We have strong fundamentals in data structures, REST APIs, Git, testing, and debugging.
• We have hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools for coding, test creation, troubleshooting, or documentation, and we can critically evaluate, validate, and refine AI-generated output for correctness, performance, and security.
• We understand responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and resiliency and security expectations.
• We have overall knowledge of the software development life cycle.
• We have a solid understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• Preferred: we are familiar with the Model Context Protocol or building tools/plugins for AI agents.
• Preferred: we have experience with RAG, prompt engineering, evaluations, and/or production guardrails.
• Preferred: we have experience with Kubernetes/EKS, AWS Lambda, and infrastructure as code.
• Preferred: we have experience with observability and tracing tools such as OpenTelemetry or Arize Phoenix.
• Preferred: we have experience in regulated or enterprise environments with security and governance requirements.

• We execute software solutions through design, development, and technical troubleshooting, applying creative approaches to complex technical problems.
• We design and build clean, testable Python services and APIs with an emphasis on reliability and performance.
• We develop maintainable user interfaces using React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• We integrate LLM APIs and/or agent frameworks into real workflows and user experiences.
• We develop cloud-native systems using containers, microservices, and AWS where applicable.
• We work with PostgreSQL/Aurora for schema design, querying, and state/session management patterns.
• We write tests, debug issues, review code, and deliver incrementally in a fast-paced environment.
• We use enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity across complex work, while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards.
• We apply tools within the software development life cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value delivered by automation.
• We produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure design constraints are met by the software we build.
• We gather, analyze, synthesize, and visualize data from large and diverse datasets to support continuous improvement of software applications and systems.
• We proactively identify hidden issues and patterns in data and use those insights to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
