Overview
Interventional Radiology Technologist – Interventional Radiology Tech. Carbondale, Illinois. Start date 09/14/2026 for 13 weeks on a travel, temporary assignment in a hospital imaging department. Weekly pay range $2,437–$2,564 per week; guaranteed hours 36 per week; shifts vary with options for 8- or 10-hour days and ongoing on-call duties. This is an imaging position, NOT an RN role. The role requires an active x-ray license and experience in interventional radiology or cath lab settings.

Responsibilities
- Perform imaging support for interventional radiology procedures under the supervision of IR clinicians
- Acquire high-quality fluoroscopic and radiographic images; operate IR imaging equipment
- Prepare patients, verify consent, review allergies, and assist with contrast administration
- Maintain sterile technique and adhere to radiation safety standards (ALARA)
- Document procedures in the electronic medical record (EPIC) and assist with post-procedure care
- Monitor patient status during procedures and communicate effectively with the IR team

Requirements
- Active Illinois license issued by IEMA
- ARRT-board certified Radiologic Technologist (R.T.(R)) with x-ray imaging credentials
- Interventional Radiology or cath lab experience required; training possible for cath lab backgrounds
- Ability to assist with general x-ray when IR procedures are not in progress
- On-call availability up to 10 days per month when fully staffed (currently 2 days per week)
