What You’ll Bring:

• Michigan School Psychologist Certification or Preliminary School Psychologist Certification (required)
• Ability to provide official university transcripts before district consideration
• Experience with school-age populations, preferably in an urban setting
• Understanding of the Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education (MARSE) and related IDEA federal regulations
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families
• Empathy and insight into the challenges faced by urban children and familiarity with community resources

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive psychological assessments, including cognitive, academic, adaptive behavior, and social-emotional evaluations
• Support early identification and intervention for students exhibiting academic, social, or emotional concerns
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams; participate in professional development and stay current on educational best practices and regulatory standards
• Clearly present psychological findings and recommendations to students' families and staff, fostering shared understanding and educational planning
• Ensure consistent application of special education policies and procedures across school buildings
• Engage in other duties as assigned
