Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Enjoy a contract position working onsite, with a 35-hour week schedule, where you’ll be collaborating closely with educators, administrators, and families to promote students’ academic, social, and emotional success.

In this role, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations—including cognitive, academic, adaptive, and social-emotional assessments—to help determine eligibility for special education services.
• Develop and implement early identification and intervention strategies for students facing academic, social, or emotional difficulties, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Clearly explain psychological findings and recommendations to parents, staff, and school leaders in a supportive and accessible way.
• Stay up to date with best practices by participating in ongoing professional development, in-service training, and collaboration with your colleagues.
• Ensure special education policies and practices are followed consistently across your assigned schools.
• Adapt to the needs of an urban school community, sharing your perspective on challenges faced by urban youth and identifying appropriate resources for students and their families.

To thrive in this opportunity, you'll need:

• MI School Psychologist or Preliminary School Psychologist Certification (official university transcripts required).
• Previous experience as a school psychologist or working in a related agency preferred.
• Knowledge of Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education (MARSE) and related IDEA Federal Regulations.
• Comfort working in a diverse, urban setting and understanding of unique opportunities and challenges.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
