Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract opportunity is for skilled School Psychologists committed to helping students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Position is on-site and not open to virtual/remote work.

In this role, your expertise will be integral to early identification and intervention for students facing mild to moderate disabilities. You’ll collaborate closely with dedicated educators and support staff to improve outcomes for approximately 60 students across all grade levels.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current Michigan School Psychologist Certification or Preliminary School Psychologist Certification required
• Copy of official university transcripts must be provided before being presented to the district
• Previous experience as a school psychologist or in a related agency role preferred
• Strong understanding of the Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education and IDEA Federal Regulations
• Comfort and previous experience working within urban school environments
• Ability to discuss challenges facing urban youth and recommend appropriate school and community resources for student and family support

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments of cognitive, academic, adaptive, and social-emotional functioning
• Collaborate in developing and implementing early identification and intervention strategies
• Clearly communicate assessment results and recommendations to staff, families, and administrators
• Participate in ongoing professional development and ensure fidelity to special education procedures across assigned schools
• Work in partnership with multidisciplinary teams to promote effective educational plans
• Other duties as assigned
