Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a rewarding contract role supporting K-12 students as a School Psychologist serving an urban district for the 2026-2027 academic year (August 17 – June 11). This is a dynamic and collaborative onsite position, with an average caseload of 60 students exhibiting mild to moderate disabilities. Your expertise will play a critical part in early identification and intervention, positively influencing student outcomes throughout their academic journey.

What We’re Looking For:

• Current Michigan School Psychologist Certification or Preliminary School Psychologist Certification required
• Ability to provide official university transcripts prior to consideration
• Previous experience in school psychology or similar agency work preferred
• Strong understanding of Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education (MARSE) and related IDEA federal regulations
• Comfort working within an urban community and the ability to discuss challenges faced by urban youth and relevant resources
• Effective communicator—capable of explaining psychological findings to parents, staff, and administrators

Your Impactful Responsibilities:

• Collaborate in developing and implementing procedures to identify and support students with academic, social, or emotional needs
• Conduct thorough psychological assessments, including cognitive, achievement, adaptive behavior, and social-emotional evaluations to inform eligibility for special education services
• Engage in ongoing collaboration with educational support teams and participate in professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices
• Monitor and support the consistent application of special education policies and procedures throughout assigned schools
• Present assessment findings in a clear, empathetic manner, fostering shared understanding and constructive planning for students’ success
• Additional related duties as assigned
