This contract opportunity, located near Lapeer, MI, runs from August 17, 2026, through June 11, 2027, offering a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week. With a caseload of approximately 60 students, you’ll play a key role in fostering student growth and success in an urban school setting.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Michigan School Psychologist Certification or Preliminary School Psychologist Certification required
• Official university transcripts must be provided prior to district consideration
• Experience supporting urban student populations is preferred; openness to working in an urban school environment is essential
• Previous professional background as a school psychologist or relevant agency experience is highly valued
• Understanding of special education under the Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education (MARSE) and related IDEA federal regulations is advantageous

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate in developing and implementing early identification and intervention strategies for students experiencing academic, emotional, or social challenges
• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to determine eligibility for special education services
• Clearly communicate findings and recommendations to parents, teachers, and administrators for effective educational planning
• Work closely with support staff and participate in professional development and in-service training to stay current with best practices and policies
• Ensure special education procedures are consistently applied across assigned schools
• Address additional responsibilities as needed in support of student and school success

This onsite role is not open to virtual/remote (VOCO) work and covers students across K-12 grades.
