Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a vital role supporting K-12 students in an urban school district, working onsite throughout the academic year. As a School Psychologist, you’ll work contractually for the 2026-2027 school year (August 17 to June 11), serving a diverse caseload of approximately 60 students with mild to moderate disabilities.

Leverage your skills and experience to make a meaningful impact through early identification and intervention strategies for students with academic, social, or emotional challenges. You will perform comprehensive psychological assessments—including cognitive, adaptive, academic, and social-emotional evaluations—to determine eligibility for special education services. Consistent collaboration with administrators, teachers, parents, and fellow support staff aligns everyone on effective educational plans.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Must hold valid Michigan School Psychologist Certification or Preliminary School Psychologist Certification.
• Copy of official university transcripts required before district presentation.
• Experience working as a School Psychologist in schools or through other agencies preferred.
• Familiarity with the Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education (MARSE) and IDEA Federal Regulations.
• Comfortable and effective working within an urban district context.
• Knowledgeable about the challenges urban children and families face and resources available to support them.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement early intervention processes for at-risk students.
• Conduct psychological assessments and support eligibility processes for special education.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in professional development.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to staff and families.
• Consistently ensure special education compliance across school sites.
• Manage other related duties as assigned.
