Senior algorithm engineer role at Masimo, a Danaher medical technology company, leading design and development of biomedical signal processing algorithms for noninvasive monitoring devices. Position requires advanced expertise in algorithm development, signal processing, and cross-functional collaboration within FDA-regulated environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead design, development, validation, and optimization of advanced biomedical signal processing algorithms
- Apply signal processing and statistical analysis expertise to solve complex technical challenges and improve algorithm performance
- Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, software, clinical, quality, and regulatory teams throughout product development
- Provide technical leadership on complex initiatives including design reviews and engineering best practices
- Mentor junior engineers and evaluate emerging technologies for innovation opportunities
Requirements
- B.S. in electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, computer science, or related technical field
- 10+ years developing algorithms for biomedical signal processing or complex sensing applications
- Advanced proficiency in MATLAB and C/C++; Python or similar languages preferred
- Strong embedded systems knowledge and algorithm implementation experience
- Statistical expertise for analyzing and interpreting large datasets
- Experience with hemodynamic monitoring or physiological measurement algorithms (preferred)
- FDA medical device development environment experience (preferred)
Compensation: $150,000 - $185,000 base, plus eligible bonus/incentive pay
