Production Manager

Production ManagerThe Production Manager oversees the placement and execution of manufacturing activities, ensuring timely and accurate production flow through close monitoring of key milestones and schedules. This role maintains ongoing communication with external vendors and internal partners to ensure alignment, resolve issues, and support product integrity from development through final delivery.Key Responsibilities:Manage samples including tracking, and coordinating shipments with factoriesManaging production planning and inventory reporting including collection and monitoring of Time & Action Calendar (T&A) to ensure adherence to the production timelines.Manage style setup and maintain cost sheets, ensuring alignment with company margin goalsManage production T&A calendars, including vendor communication and price negotiationsFollow up with factories to obtain tracking information, delivery schedules, production samples, and bulk production updatesOversee quality control and product testing, and proactively coordinate with the QC team to ensure production timelines and delivery dates are not at riskBuild and maintain relationships with external factories and vendorsPartner closely with the Sourcing team to manage and follow up on sampling activitiesCollaborate with the inbound logistics team to prioritize orders for timely delivery to customers and warehouseEnsure accurate and timely purchase order entry and maintain oversight of all PO dataWork with Sales to ensure customer purchase orders align with cut purchase orders.Maintain weekly production status and at-risk reports and communicate updates to the Sales team in a timely manner.Ensure factories comply with customer packing and labeling requirements.Review all Packing List and update carton dimensions and weights in the ERP systemCoordinate with factories and the logistics team to ensure timely order booking with the freight forwarderMaintain organized production files and ensure accurate product record-keepingManage and support a remote team member responsible for production data entry and administrative tasksSkills & Competencies:5+ years of experience in production managementExperience working with off-price retailers requiredExperience working directly with factories in China strongly preferredAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills requiredAttention to detail, strong communication, organizational, multitasking, and follow-up skillsExcellent problem-solving ability, high sense of urgencyWhat We Offer:Comprehensive Health & Wellness Benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and supplemental insurance401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with company matchGenerous Paid Time Off (PTO) and paid holidaysHalf Day Fridays with shortened hours during both Summer and Winter seasonsHealth Savings Account (HSA)Flexible Spending Account (FSA)Tax-free commuter benefitsExclusive employee merchandise discountsSalary: The anticipated base salary is $85k-$95k annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, internal equity, and location.
