• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Setting: Labor & Delivery / Surgical Services

What You’ll Do

• Assist with C-section procedures (both scheduled and emergent)
• Maintain sterile field and prepare surgical instruments and supplies
• Support patient transport from room to OR
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and provide support between cases
• Perform CNA-level duties including vitals, ambulation, stocking, and newborn care tasks
• Assist with circumcision setup and breakdown

Schedule & Details

• Night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Every 3rd weekend required
• Minimal call requirement
• No floating required
• Holiday coverage required (blackout dates apply)
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week (excluding orientation week and select holidays)
• Potential for low census call-offs with callback pay eligibility

Patient Population & Case Mix

• OB-focused unit with C-section procedures as primary surgical cases
• Average 3–4 cases per day
• Additional support for postpartum and newborn care

Technology & Equipment

• EMR: Epic
• Experience with Jada system for hemorrhage management preferred

Must-Have Credentials

• CST certification (NBSTSA or NCCT)
• BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
• Minimum 1 year of OB surgical tech experience

Preferred Experience

• 2+ years of experience (required for first-time travelers)
• Strong OB and C-section experience
• Ability to adapt quickly and support both surgical and floor duties
