Location: Deer Park, NY

Schedule:  M - F 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM

Full-time, Direct Hire

Welder Job Description: 

PrideStaff is working with an established local metal fabrication shop that is seeking an experienced Welder to join their team.  The Welder will set up and perform high-quality welds on stainless steel. The ideal Welder has experience with TIG and MIG welding on stainless and carbon steel. The Welder opportunity is a full-time, direct-hire position in Deer Park, NY. 

Welder Job Responsibilities: 

• Perform High-Quality TIG Welding on Stainless Steel (Approx. 85% of Work)
• Perform MIG Welding on Stainless and Carbon Steel as Needed
• Read & Interpret Blueprints, Drawings & Weld Symbols
• Set-Up Welding Equipment, Tools & Materials For Each Job
• Weld Components in Flat, Vertical & Overhead Positions
• Inspect Completed Welds for Accuracy, Strength & Appearance
• Maintain a Clean, Safe & Organized Work Area
• Collaborate With Shop Supervisors & Fabricators to Meet Production Deadlines
• Follow All OSHA, PPE & Safety Guidelines 

Welder Job Requirements:

• HS Diploma or Equivalent Required 
• Must Have Strong TIG Welding Experience on Stainless Steel
• Trade School or Technical Training (Apex, BOCES, etc.) is Preferred
• Ability to Read Blueprints, Drawings & Fabrication Layouts
• Knowledge of Welding Equipment, Tools & Proper Setup
• Ability to Pass an In-Person TIG & MIG Welding Test on Stainless & Carbon Steel; Must Have Personal Welding Helmet for Testing
• Must be Reliable, Punctual, and Able to Work Independently
