General Manager

As a SONIC Drive‑In restaurant General Manager,you lead the team to deliver high‑quality food and service experiences. Responsibilities Manage, train, monitor and coach Crew/Team members, Carhops, and Skating Carhops. Direct and assign drive‑in restaurant employees to meet operational standards. Adhere to and monitor employee compliance with the drive‑in employee handbook, policies and practices. Perform restaurant opening and/or closing duties. Prepare employee work schedules and adjust staffing levels as necessary. Monitor and maintain inventory levels; place orders for food, paper and supplies within cost control procedures. Maintain all drive‑in restaurant employment and payroll records. Reinforce a customer‑service mentality, ensuring employees focus on serving guests. Resolve guest requests promptly and respectfully; report complaints to the supervisor and assist in resolution. Interview and hire crew and management team members to maintain proper staffing levels. Prepare operational reports and develop action plans to address unfavorable financial or sales trends. Develop and implement marketing plans. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced studies in business, restaurant management or related fields preferred. Minimum of two (2) years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred), with experience running shifts without supervision. Required to work a minimum five‑day week, including four closing shifts (or a guaranteed four‑day week) and irregular hours such as nights, weekends and holidays. Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and selection practices. Knowledge of federal and state labor laws, as well as local health and sanitation laws and regulations. Leadership and supervisory skills; effective verbal and written communication. Basic accounting and computer skills. Ability to follow directions and work autonomously once provided; multitasking and problem‑solving abilities. Problem‑solving, decision‑making and conflict‑resolution skills.
