JOB SUMMARY The Materials Specialist I is responsible for supporting both internal and external customers by ensuring timely and accurate material planning, receiving, stocking, delivery, and shipment. This role also involves operating material handling equipment and assisting with inventory control, data accuracy, and process improvements to support material flow throughout the facility. YOUR IMPACT Maintain accurate inventory through timely and precise data entry. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and system issues. Identify and correct receiving problems. Monitor and maintain inventory stock levels. Support engineering changes through allocation and inventory adjustments (CN maintenance). Collaborate daily with internal and external customers to deliver exceptional service. Assist with corporate material initiatives such as cycle counts, ISL (Inventory Stock Location) management, bin consumption tracking, and more. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Computer literate with Microsoft office especially Excel and Word. Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet business and production demands. Maintain regular and reliable attendance, in-person and on-site. STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS Strong phone and communication skills. Interpersonal skills. Sound business acumen. 6 months to 2 years general office practices. Ability to pass internal Powered Industrial Equipment license test and ability to operate various pieces of equipment in assigned Operations Facility (i.e. Stand-up, Sit-down). WORKING CONDITIONS The following represents general working conditions for this role. Specific conditions may vary depending on business needs and individual circumstances. This position is based in a manufacturing or production environment and may involve exposure to loud noise, dust, moving machinery, or temperature fluctuations. The role may require standing for extended periods, repetitive motions, lifting/carrying up to 35 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds and up to 30 pounds sustained, bending, kneeling, climbing, or using tools and equipment. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn when required. Visual and auditory acuity are needed for safe equipment operation and effective communication in a busy workspace.
