An established investment firm is seeking a hands-on attorney to join its in-house Legal & Compliance team. This role offers broad exposure to commercial agreements, legal operations, entity management and cross-functional projects in a growing, highly professional environment.
Responsibilities
- Review, draft and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements
- Coordinate contract approvals, execution, renewals and ongoing obligations
- Maintain accurate contract records and key-term data
- Manage legal-entity records, reporting and related documentation
- Improve contract-management processes, controls and internal workflows
- Partner with business teams on legal and compliance matters
- Support department initiatives and special projects
- Use technology and AI tools thoughtfully to improve legal processes and efficiency
Qualifications
- JD required
- 2+ years of relevant legal experience
- Background with an investment manager, financial-services company or law firm preferred
- Commercial contracting and contract-management experience
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Comfortable handling both substantive legal matters and process-oriented work
- Able to manage competing priorities with limited supervision
- Strong judgment, communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience with document or contract-management systems preferred
