Fire Installer III

Responsibilities Assist the responsible person in performing install related tasks for electronic product lines and standard electronic systems. Observe the responsible person’s actions and apply as directed. Help with installation of electronic systems, including start‑up through final testing. Follow verbal and written instructions; read and understand complex construction blueprints, diagrams and specifications used in installation activities. Carry or move equipment and tools weighing up to 40 pounds. Perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet or more. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Pick up and properly dispose of all trash associated with SimplexGrinnell work. Wear appropriate safety equipment, including hard hats and work boots. May be required to work alternate shifts or weekends to meet customer installation requirements. Perform other duties as requested. Submit daily required paperwork. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Construction experience required. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Successful completion of a drug screen and background check. Capable of carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50–70 pounds. Ability to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet; working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc. Demonstrate a high level of customer service. Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly. Preferred: experience in an electrical trade. Low‑voltage experience is a plus. Benefits Compensation is competitive.
