Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to evaluate the emotional, social, and environmental factors affecting patients and families regarding their diagnoses, illnesses, and life situations.

• Formulate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based social work interventions that address specific patient needs.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to create and execute integrated care plans that involve patients and families in decision-making.

• Facilitate discharge planning by coordinating with consulting physicians, insurance payers, and other healthcare providers to ensure smooth transitions from hospital to home care.

• Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about coping strategies related to illness, treatment options, and overall adaptation to life changes.

• Utilize crisis intervention strategies as needed, offering both brief and long-term therapeutic services, including individual, group, and family therapy.

• Act as a resource for colleagues by providing consultation on complex cases and offering education on psychosocial aspects of patient care.

• Clinically evaluate cancer patients for signs of depression and anxiety, providing timely short-term counseling or referrals to appropriate resources.

• Engage in on-call activities for after-hours support, ensuring patients have access to help when needed.

• Participate in educational conferences and serve as a subject matter expert in psychosocial oncology practice.

• Contribute to community service initiatives by promoting, utilizing, and strengthening available resources and programs for cancer survivors.

• Support the profession by mentoring clinical social workers and participating in the training of students in oncology social work.

Your work will primarily focus on a diverse patient population, including individuals coping with the psychological and emotional impacts of chronic illnesses, especially cancer. Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work (BSW) and possess an active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) certification. You must demonstrate a strong understanding of psychosocial theories and practices, along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills that enable effective collaboration and patient interaction.

The salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
