Implementation Specialist

Job TitleThis position works directly with clients and agents. Accountable for leading and managing large group implementations (new groups and some renewals) for Local 100+, Public and Natl/Major Accounts segmentations with unique/significant Non-Standard & Eligibility benefits. Serves as liaison for Sales organization to internal partners to ensure timely and successful implementation and renewal of large accounts. Acts as a central point of contact for all internal/external organizations.Job duties include but are not limited to:Manage and coordinate all NLGP implementationsResponsible for pre-builds of SPRs, planning, coordinating and establishing timelines with key internal and external partners to ensure timely implementationsManages, evaluates and analyzes new group and renewal sale processes. Accountable for pre-calculation, final rating calculation, and implementation of all sales processes (ancillary business)Develop project plans for implementation, manage activity and prioritize to the timelineCoordinate review of key documentsCoordinate meetings with internal partners to monitor status, document implementation progress and resolve issuesDevelop implementation-related communicationsEnsure BCBSF process and plan changes are incorporated into implementation materials and processesBuild and manage effective business relationships to understand impact of product/ process/program changes that impact the implementation processEstablish and maintain strategic relationships with key internal partners including Underwriting, EM&B, Application Maintenance, PRA, Member Service Organizations, Provider Service Organization, FCL, etc.Communicate non-standard Account requests to impacted departmentsFacilitate the work required to coordinate with internal partners to brainstorm and/or develop alternative solutions to account requests that may otherwise require manual processingEngage in relationships with external partners during finalist presentation, including group decision makers, group benefit administrators, agents/brokers and consultantsParticipate in face-to-face meetings with the group as well as through conference calls developing and/or framing expectations and ensure understanding of benefit application, enrollment timelines, etc.Communicate group needs and specifics to Senior Leadership and key internal stakeholders including progress made, plans determined and issues identified and resolvedManage and track resolution of barriers and issues during implementation and through post-implementation periodDevelop action plans for key issuesTrack completion of post implementation activitiesAccountable for process improvement / continuous improvement initiatives identified during implementationJob Requirements:3+ years related work experienceRelated Bachelor's degree or additional related equivalent work experienceFL Health and Life Insurance License (2-15) upon hirePrevious sales, account servicing, customer or similar experience with large groupsDemonstrated experience in managing projects and/or improvement initiativesKnowledge of BCBSF Sales organization and health plan productsEffective in all the programs in MS Office and PC-based software skills (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)Demonstrated results-oriented performanceExperience working with continuous improvement disciplines, including the use of Process Improvement tools, methodologies and applicationsExperience with complex decision-making and problem solvingExperience setting clear, actionable objectives and tactical plans for result attainmentUnderstanding of the business and its impact on the organizationExperience in developing and maintaining effective working relationshipsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExperience managing multiple job duties simultaneouslyExcellent presentation skillsPreferred:Knowledge of health care industryKnowledge of branding guidelines and style manualsKnowledge of BCBSF policies and procedures to effectively manage and coordinate assigned general agency sales and service personnelMulti-lingualGeneral Physical Demands: Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Team schedules are determined based on role requirements and business needs.
