Lab Assistant

Job Title: Lab Assistant Job Description
The Lab Assistant will prepare samples for analytical and microbiological testing of food products, ingredients, and environmental samples. This role involves following approved microbiological techniques and methodologies used in analytical testing.
Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for microbiological and chemistry analysis.
• Apply aseptic techniques.
• Maintain media and reagents.
• Clean and sanitize work area and glassware.
• Perform quality control monitoring by taking incubator temperatures, inoculating control organisms, and running media controls.

Essential Skills

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow specific directions and standard operating procedures.
• Ability to follow procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Degree in the Sciences preferred.

Work Environment
This role is based in a Microbiology Testing Laboratory. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 4 pm to midnight. The environment emphasizes opportunities for advancement within the FSN Lab.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of De Pere, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
