Key Qualifications:

• Valid SLI Certification
• Meets North Carolina EIPA requirements, including a passing score of 3.5 or higher and completion of the written component
• Experience interpreting in educational settings, with a focus on serving diverse student needs
• Skilled in American Sign Language (ASL) and able to adapt communication to varied age groups
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work well independently

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide sign language interpretation for students, educators, and staff during classroom instruction, school assemblies, and other on-campus events
• Adapt interpreting methods to accommodate different learning environments and student needs
• Collaborate with teachers and special education teams to facilitate full participation and inclusion
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethical standards
• Remain responsive to scheduling across school calendar dates as the need arises
