Qualifications:

• Valid SLI Certification.
• Compliance with NC EIPA requirements, including a 3.5 passing score and successful completion of the written exam.
• Prior experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to effectively interpret for school-aged students in a classroom environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide interpretation services to students and staff in various classroom and school activities.
• Adapt signing to student grade levels from kindergarten through high school.
• Collaborate with educational teams to promote full participation for deaf and hard-of-hearing students.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
• Follow established protocols and school policies.
