Make a meaningful difference in the lives of K-12 students as a dedicated Paraprofessional in a school-based special education setting. This per diem opportunity near Pilot Mountain, NC, gives you the flexibility and autonomy to build your work schedule according to your lifestyle—all while impacting young learners daily.
This role is ideal for those who have authentic classroom special education experience and are passionate about supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional development. Work on campus throughout the school year on an as-needed basis, selecting the shifts that best fit your life.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a school or classroom-based special education environment is required
- No specific certifications or credentials necessary
- Ability to engage and support students of varying abilities across K-12 grade levels
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff and students
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers by providing support to students with special needs in inclusive and self-contained classrooms
- Implement educational activities and accommodate lessons to support student learning
- Encourage positive social interaction and help manage classroom behavior
- Offer one-on-one or small group assistance to ensure individualized attention
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- Follow the school’s calendar for shift opportunities
