Family Practice/Primary Care Nurse Practitioner

An employer-sponsored primary care clinic in Windsor, Wisconsin, just outside the Madison area, is seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) for a full-time contract assignment. Practice Setting

Providers will work in an employer-sponsored healthcare clinic serving employees, spouses, and dependents of a manufacturing facility. Unlike traditional high-volume clinics, this practice emphasizes comprehensive, relationship-based care and allows providers to spend appropriate time with each patient.

The clinic offers primary care, wellness services, preventive screenings, women's health services, behavioral health support, physical therapy, care management, and laboratory services all within a coordinated care model.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care services for patients ages 2+
• Conduct annual physicals and wellness examinations
• Diagnose and manage acute illnesses and chronic conditions
• Perform women's health services, including Pap smears
• Administer vaccinations and preventive services
• Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies
• Review and discuss test results with patients
• Provide health education and lifestyle counseling
• Coordinate care with community specialists and healthcare providers
• Document patient encounters within EPIC EMR

Schedule

40 Hours Per Week

• Monday: 6:30 AM - 4:30 PM
• Tuesday: 6:30 AM - 4:30 PM
• Wednesday: 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• Thursday: 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Additional Details

• 30-minute lunch break
• 30 minutes of administrative time built into each day
• Weekday schedule only
• Start Date: January 2027
• Assignment scheduled through May 5, 2027

Patient Volume & Support

• Average 7-12 patients per day
• Annual physicals scheduled for 45 minutes
• Standard office visits scheduled for 30 minutes
• Patients ages 2 and older
• Support team includes:
  • RN
  • Medical Assistant
  • Front Desk Staff
  • Behavioral Health Services
  • Physical Therapy
  • Care Management
  • Laboratory Services
  • Additional Nurse Practitioner
• Emphasis on preventive and relationship-based care

Qualifications Required

• Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner
• Active Wisconsin Nurse Practitioner License
• Active DEA Registration
• BLS Certification
• Minimum 2 years of Nurse Practitioner experience in:
  • Primary Care
  • Occupational Health
  • Urgent Care
• Outpatient clinic experience required

• EPIC EMR experience
• Employee Health experience
• Occupational Medicine experience
• Women's Health experience
• Preventive Care and Wellness experience
