Successful small, family-owned construction company is looking to bring on a Payroll Administrator. In this role, you will be responsible for processing the weekly payroll into the Paylocity payroll system. You will also assist with day-to-day operations, administrative duties such as sending out documents, reviewing and auditing reports before submittal. The company has been around since the late 1990s and is looking to continue growing.

Location: Newbury Park, CA Schedule: Mon-Fri 9.00 am - 5.00 pm Salary: $28.00 - $30.00/hour (DOE) This is a Temp-to-Hire position

Responsibilities:

• Collect working hours from all employees and contractors
• Entering employee hours into Paylocity payroll system.
• Submit payroll information weekly to compliance companies
• Request, email and track monthly releases/waivers
• Enter data into general contractors' invoicing software
• Learn union journeyman & apprentice requirements
• Keep track of contract related documents and store them according to company policy and procedures
• Maintain detailed and organized files according to jobs, electronic & hard copy
• Responsible for organized tracking of all contract documents, certificates of insurance, releases, etc.
• Responsible for communicating all missing documents from subcontractors according to labor compliance requirements, to office & project managers
• Maintain and track and request employees' apprenticeship training certificates, OSHA requirements and UPP Safety Binder

Requirements:

• Experience in construction industry is a plus
• Honest and dependable
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent phone skills
• Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Excel
• QuickBooks experience is a plus
• Good math skills
• Strong attention to detail
