Scope: Database Administrator (DBA) Resources are responsible for the administration and maintenance of the organization’s database platforms. They use established database standards, procedures, and processes to ensure that systems are healthy and functional. They build and execute scripts to modify data in organizational databases. A DBA develops and maintains highly available databases, including physical dictionaries and data models, and implements changes and performance enhancements. Senior Level Resource Requirements

Mandatory:

Qualification:

• An Associate’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent training and experience in IT.
• 7 years of experience in enterprise RDBMS database administration with large-scale, mission-critical applications (Microsoft SQL Server 2012+).
• A Bachelor’s Degree can substitute 1 year of experience.
• A Master’s Degree can substitute 2 years of experience.

Demonstrate experience with:

• Database Server Performance and optimization tools.
• Managing database backup, restore, and data archiving tasks.
• Microsoft SQL Server security best practices.
• Advanced knowledge of:
• Always On.
• Transactional Replication.
• Clustering.
• T-SQL.
• Implementing database upgrades.
• Database PAAS solutions in cloud environments.
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes and database setup.
• Scripting knowledge for automating day-to-day tasks (Shell script, PowerShell).
• Knowledge of:
• Azure Data Factory.
• ETL data warehouse architecture.
• Experience with:
• CDC (Change Data Capture) tools and replication.
• Installing, patching, upgrading, and maintaining system health.

Desired:

It is desirable for the resource to have:

• Certifications in Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with T-SQL scripts and batch processing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as Cosmos DB or MongoDB.
• Software and services
• SQL Server.
• Azure Data Factory.
• PowerShell.
• Azure Cloud.
• Database setup, patching, security, and upgrades.
• CI/CD processes.
• Migration and replication tasks.
• Change data capture tools.
• Writing T-SQL scripts.
