Systems Engineer (Simulation and Training Products)

The Work We are seeking a full‑time System Engineer to support the full product lifecycle for Simulation and Training products. Our products are used to represent the world’s most advanced combat systems, supporting a variety of mission areas and uses. In this role, you will define software requirements, verify requirements, and integrate and test software. The successful candidate will have experience with C++ code, Linux Operating Systems, System Modeling and troubleshooting system level issues. This position is located at a facility that requires special access and will require a government security clearance – U.S. Citizenship required. Basic Qualifications Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline Minimum 2 years of professional engineering experience Experience with development of software requirements, requirement verification and working collaboratively with software engineers in the design, development, and test of software Experience with Model Based Engineering tools and methodologies like SysML Candidate must demonstrate knowledge of formal system test methods associated with software requirements verification, software system regression and data analysis Experience with issue investigation and defect correction The ability to obtain & maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance at the SECRET level – U.S. Citizenship required Desired Skills Demonstrate knowledge of formal system test methods associated with software requirements verification, software system regression and data analysis Experience with programming languages such as C++, Java and Python Experience with Linux/Unix Experience with Network Topology Configuration, Modeling Tools, Static Code Analysis tools Excellent written and verbal communication skills that facilitate successful work in a collaborative and team‑based environment Security Clearance This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: SECRET. Ability to Work Remotely Part‑time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process. Work Schedules Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to employees. Schedules range from the standard 40‑hour, five‑day work week to condensed schedules that offer more time away from the office and are in addition to our paid time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 4×10‑hour day, 3 days off per week. The base range for this position in New Jersey is $75,000 – $142,760.
