You will be fully trained in how to do your job while receiving all the tools you need to perform your job well, not to mention the possibility of lifelong career advancement along the way.Under the direction of the Business Taxes Administrator III, the Business Taxes Specialist II is responsible for:Planning, distributing, and evaluating the workload for the Appeals and Data Analysis Branch.Developing policies and procedures, conducting tax program policy research, and explaining complex tax issues to major taxpayers and their representatives.Preparing legislative proposals, analyzing legislation, and developing related costing, budget change proposals, and implementation plans.Serving as a liaison with executive management, federal and state agencies, legislative staff, lobbyists, and trade organizations.Acting as lead on various projects and performing other job-related duties as required.In-state and out-of-state travel may be required up to twenty percent (20%) of the time, and may include evenings, weekends, and/or overnight travel.You will find additional information about the job in the Duty Statement.
