Senior Manager, Quantitative Insights - Global Tracking Location: This role is to be based near one of our offices in Los Angeles, New York, Austin, or Oakland. About the role As a Sr. Manager of Global Tracking, you will have a passion for client management and a desire to lead. As a senior-level leader, you’ll wear many hats — you’ll conduct research, manage projects, and mentor your team — while working closely with Fortune 500 clients and in partnership with department leaders. You will act as a thought partner to our clients, educating them about every step of the process, while developing trust and building lasting relationships. You will advise direct reports and share responsibility for their growth and development. You will lead project activities while achieving excellent financial results. You will manage data collection, processing, tabulation, analysis, and reporting, and use your findings to translate complexity into compelling stories. You will strategize at a high level alongside other Material business leaders, influence and advise business decisions, and learn and adapt to groundbreaking technologies that drive efficiency. You will work with programming, design, data collection, marketing, and data science teams. Responsibilities Lead research, project management, and team mentorship. Act as a thought partner to Fortune 500 clients. Advise direct reports and share responsibility for their development. Lead project activities achieving financial results. Manage data collection, processing, tabulation, analysis, and reporting. Translate findings into compelling narratives. Strategize with senior business leaders and influence decisions. Collaborate with programming, design, marketing, and data science teams. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in social sciences, business, economics, or related field. 4–7 years of professional experience in a related field. Experience conducting market research and generating insights. Ability to coordinate and lead daily team activities. Ability to provide immediate supervision to direct reports, including task assignment and schedule maintenance. Willingness to spend time performing team members’ work when necessary. Basic SPSS skills. Strong strategic problem‑solving skills and business acumen. Excellent prioritization, delegation, and timeline management across multiple projects. Proficiency with tracking methodologies (preferred).
