BUDGET ANALYST

Duties

Help

Serves as the functional point of contact for day-to-day budget/financial issues. Works with MAJCOM and budget office counterparts to obtain, monitor, and track organization's funds.

Performs budget formulation, execution, and formulation work involving review and preparation of budget estimates, monitoring obligations, expenditure of funds, and financial planning. Reviews and analyzes budget requests submitted by organizational activities to ensure their consistency, accuracy, and adherence to instructions.

Serves as the resident subject matter expert for all mandated administrative support programs. Ensures activity program compliance with regulations, laws, policies, and higher-level directives.

Serves as the point of contact and liaison for manpower, military/civilian personnel issues. Stays abreast of current personnel issues and provides explanations of personnel-related requirements, regulations, and procedures to supervisors and managers.

Performs other clerical and administrative work in support of the office/organization. Develops, establishes, updates, and maintains office procedures and records/files of various types to ensure effective and efficient operation of the office.
