ICU Registered Nurse Job Details Location: Chicago, IL 60612 (Illinois nursing jobs) Facility: Level 1 Trauma Center with Burn ICU, CCU, Medical ICU, SICU, and Neuro ICU units Position Type: Travel RN Contract Assignment Length: 13 weeks Start Date: September 2, 2025 Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) Total Hours: 36 hours per week Estimated Weekly Salary: $1910 - $1960 Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (2 weekends per month) Floating: Required between ICU units and to Med/Surg units within a 50-mile radius EMR: Cerner Scrub Color: Navy Blue (not provided) Parking: $2/day with shuttle service ICU RN Qualifications Current and active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license (required at submission) Minimum 2 years of recent acute care ICU nursing experience BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required COVID-19 vaccination required (no exemptions) Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions accepted) Ability to float between ICU specialties and Med/Surg units as needed Strong clinical communication and adaptability skills ICU Nurse Responsibilities Provide high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients in various ICU specialties Monitor and manage ventilated patients, titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, interpret ABGs and dysrhythmias Perform arterial and central line care, continuous IV sedation, and manage multi-system organ failure Implement isolation precautions and ensure proper PPE usage Accurately document patient care using Cerner EMR Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes Float to different ICU and Med/Surg units as required to support hospital needs Apply now to join our Chicago healthcare team as a Travel ICU Registered Nurse and take the next step in your nursing career!
