This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to positively impact high school students while working collaboratively with educational professionals. The assignment spans the academic year, commencing on August 3, 2026, and continuing through May 27, 2027, with a schedule that aligns with the school calendar—35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Louisiana Department of Education Certification (TAT not accepted); candidates must be fully licensed upon applying
• Demonstrated experience or familiarity with high school mathematics curriculum within a general education setting
• Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet varied student learning needs
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
• Successful completion of all required drug screening and fingerprinting as per district and agency standards

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, standards-based instruction in high school math
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
• Develop lesson plans that promote critical thinking and problem-solving
