We are seeking a Mathematics Teacher to join our team!
Responsibilities:
- Manage and educate students in a classroom setting
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans
- Adhere to established teaching curriculum
- Maintain positive relationships with students and parents
- Document and share student grades and evaluations
- Maintain the health and safety of all students
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in teaching or other educational fields
- Strong classroom management skills
- Ability to build rapport with students
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership qualities
Additional Areas of Responsibility Include:
- Creating, refining and maintaining mathematics curriculum at Rooted School
- Collaborating with other content area teachers to design cross-curricular projects and emphasize targeted soft-skills across the curriculum
- Meticulously monitoring student data, providing frequent feedback and targeted student support in response to data
- Consistently implementing and executing student interventions with flexible grouping
- Executing Rooted’s hybrid academic model with fidelity and consistency
- Actively establishing Rooted's culture among students, partners and the community-at-large
We are a small charter school [150 - 170 students grades 9 - 12] in the New Orleans area located on the campus of the SUNO School of Education and Human Development campus.
