Credit Analyst

Summary In this role, you will assist in evaluating loan applications, analyzing financial statements, and assessing credit risk for various types of loans. This is a great opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to build a foundation in credit analysis within a community banking environment. Primary Responsibilities Analyze financial statements, tax returns, credit reports, and other relevant documents to assess borrower creditworthiness. Assist in underwriting mortgage, commercial, SBA, and personal loans by preparing credit memos and risk assessments. Work closely with loan officers and senior credit analysts to ensure loan applications comply with bank policies and regulatory requirements. Monitor existing loan portfolios, identifying potential risks and recommending appropriate actions. Conduct market and industry research to support lending decisions. Maintain accurate documentation and reports in compliance with bank policies and regulatory guidelines. Provide support for loan renewals, modifications, and portfolio management. Aids in preparation of SBA loan packages and reports. Gathers credit information for preparation of commercial loan packages. Tracks financial statements. Handles account receivable lines of credit and performs account receivable offsite reviews. Prepares allowance for Loan & Lease losses calculation and other reports for the Board. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with keen attention to detail. Proficiency in financial statement analysis and basic accounting principles. Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members in a fast‑paced environment. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. SBA Loan Experience strongly preferred.
