Job Summary

A reputable law firm in Greenville, SC is seeking an experienced Paralegal for a direct hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented legal professional with 3 to 5 years of litigation support, legal assistant, or paralegal experience who enjoys managing case activity, preparing legal documents, coordinating deadlines, and supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation.

Key Responsibilities

- Draft, review, organize, and maintain legal documents, pleadings, correspondence, discovery materials, and case files.
- Coordinate case schedules, court filings, litigation deadlines, calendars, discovery responses, and document management.
- Conduct legal research and prepare organized summaries, case materials, and supporting documentation for attorney review.
- Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, vendors, attorneys, and internal team members.
- Assist attorneys with case management, litigation support, trial preparation, and ongoing legal administrative needs.
- Maintain accurate, confidential records while ensuring compliance with court procedures, firm standards, and legal requirements.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary: $55,000 to $65,000 annually.
- Employment Type: Direct Hire.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Support attorneys with litigation, case management, document preparation, and client communication.
- Manage court filings, discovery, deadlines, calendars, and legal documentation.
- Conduct legal research and organize findings for attorney review.
- Assist with trial preparation and ongoing litigation support.

- 3 to 5 years of Paralegal or Legal Assistant experience.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, litigation support, and legal document preparation.
- Experience managing multiple cases, deadlines, priorities, and confidential materials simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, accuracy, follow-through, and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys, staff, clients, and outside parties.
- Professional, client-focused approach with a high level of discretion and confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

- Paralegal certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in insurance defense or civil litigation strongly preferred.
- Experience in other litigation practice areas is also welcome.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
