Registered Nurse - House Supervisor

Job Description

Job Summary:

Supervise nursing services in a licensed healthcare facility, ensuring resident care complies with state and federal regulations. Oversee day-to-day operations, direct nursing staff, and support resident well-being during night shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise nursing staff, including nursing assistants and LPNs, to ensure quality resident care and adherence to care plans.
• Monitor and document resident conditions, promptly reporting significant changes to the RN Supervisor.
• Administer and record medications, treatments, and diagnostic tests as ordered, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Assist with resident transfers, postmortem procedures, and collection of lab specimens, maintaining thorough documentation.
• Conduct staff evaluations, maintain schedules, and facilitate team meetings to promote quality and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure a safe, clean environment by performing housekeeping duties, reporting hazards, and managing inventory.

Qualifications:

• Possess a current PA Registered Nurse license and ability to pass employment physicals.
• Demonstrate knowledge of nursing theory, medication administration, patient observation, and infection control practices.
• Have valid BLS (AHA) certification and COVID-19 vaccination.
• Exhibit excellent communication, observation, and independent judgment skills.
• Ability to lead a team, manage emergencies, and follow written and verbal directives.
